Who: Cub Scouts (only for WOLF, BEAR, & WEBELOS rank), Scout leaders, and parents
When: Saturday, March 18, 2023
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: 5001 Lake Land Blvd, Mattoon, IL 61938  Park in Lot E.

This event Cub Scouts will be working on Science Everywhere! Nova Award.  www.scouting.org/stem 
This NOVA is designed to help you learn about how science impacts your everyday life.

Cost: $17.00 per youth.  We will be including a pizza lunch with chips and drink, the STEM U patch and Nova Cards.  $10 for adutls for lunch and patch. Price goes  up to $22 for youth after March 6th.  
Payment: Mastercard, VISA and Discover. Payments and registration will only be accepted online.

Registration Deadline: Tuesday, March 15th at 11:59 pm or when capacity reached.  

Schedule of event:

8:05-9:00am Registration opens
9:00am Opening Ceremonies.
9:15 - 10:15am - Session 1
10:15 - 11:15am - Session 2
Lunch 11:15 AM -12PM
12-1:15 Demo
1:30 - 2:30am - Session 3
2:30 - 3:30pm- Session 4

Optional Arts and Crafts will be offered at the conclusion of the Cub Scout STEM U for those waiting for the Scouts BSA STEM College to end.

We will be completeing all of the requirements for Science Everywhere!   This Nova award module is designed to help Scouts learn about STEM and the natural world around them. 

Sessions will involve content, discussions, activities, and videos designed to meet the requirements of the Nova award. 

STEM College Rules and Regulations:

During the event, Scouts will be expected to:

• Be in uniform and prepared to learn.
• Have a watch or clock handy. Return after breaks in a timely fashion.
• Participate in the class. Simply attending is not enough to earn the badge.  Scouts need to participate.
• Scouts should be in the care of an adult that is on campus.   
• NO late registrations or walk-ins. Out of Council Scouts are welcome to enroll.: 
• Adult Trainings:  A free Youth Protecton Training for adults will take place from 9-10 am. Also a free STEM Nova Counselor/Supernova Mentor Training for adults will take place from 10-11am.
