MUSIC MERIT BADGE

"The history of music is rich and exciting. Through the ages, new music has been created by people who learned from tradition, then explored and innovated." In this merit badge clinic, scouts will have the opportunity to learn about American musicians, perform a song, compose a melody, and discover more about music and instruments. During our session we will work as a group and individually to complete the Music Merit Badge.

Prerequisites:

For #1: Please bring your instrument or plan to sing. Please choose one of these three traditional songs:

For #3: Please complete one of (a), (b), or (c) and bring evidence with you. We will complete 3(d) at the clinic. 

For #4: We will work on 4b - Composing 12 measures. If you prefer to complete 4a or 4c, please bring evidence with you.
