The exciting SWIFT’S BIG KICKOFF WEEKEND is coming up May 29 - May31 at Swift Base.  This event is FREE!  For crews staying the weekend, bring your own food (potluck Saturday evening), cooking gear, camping gear, and join in the fun. Or just come down for the day Saturday.

Friday night
Arrive after 4 pm and bring leaf blowers to blow off tent platforms.  We’ll be putting up canvas and crews can get set up at their favorite sites.

Saturday
Those crews already on site chow down their own breakfast.  Everybody get ready to start work projects by 9 am.  We will work through noon, then take a break for lunch, and finish work projects by by 2:30 pm.

Work projects will include clearing downed trees, removing invasive cedars, installing new plumbing fixtures painting, minor repairs, levling tents, clearing sites, gutter repair, and more. We'll make a heck of an improvement for Swift! Some special help we need is:

• Chainsaw operators (chainsaw certified)
• Plumbers (or plumbers assistants)
• Electricians and those familiar with running underground conduit/cable.

2:30 pm - 6:00 pm - Join us at the waterfront to place the floating dock and complete swim tests.  We may also have mountain boards, boats, games, sports and more.

6:30 pm Dinner at the Pavilion will be a Potluck. We will have burgers, brats, baked beans, coleslaw and potato salad to start.  Please bring a main, side dish, or dessert large enough for your unit and some others to share. It should be a good time! See the above info on how to let everyone know what you're bringing.

8 pm - Games under the Pavillion -- Bingo and other fun games for the night!

Sunday
9 am - Staff wants to exercise rappelling and climbing skills.  Join us at the pavilion to take the hike to the rappelling cliffs and climbing wall!
