This program is to help youth become more comfortable with everything horses! Learn about horse behaviors, equipment, and of course riding! Thursday parents are welcome to watch skills their child has learned during a horse show from 10:30 till noon. Parents are not required to stay. A snack is included. All activities depend on youths riding skills.

AGE: 11 - 13 year olds

When: July 7 - July 10th

                   OR

          July 14th  - July 17th

Time: 8am - 12pm

Price: $250 per youth (weight limit is 200lbs)

Special needs or requests must be disclosed at the time of sign up. You must bring a Health forms A, B, and C with you to camp. It is an attachment on your registration page.

Day 1

8:00am – Arrive

8:15am – Introduction game, How to behave around horses, meet and greet herd

10:00am – Snack, discuss horse behaviors, discuss parts of saddle

11:00am – mounting a horse and posture while on a horse

12:00pm – Parents pick up

Day 2

8:00am – Arrive

8:15am – Youth assist in feeding herd/clean barn

9:15am – youth assist in grooming/saddling horses

10:00am – Snack/discuss horse breeds

10:30am – ride in ring

11:30am – unsaddle, turn horses out

12:pm – Parents pick up

Day 3

8:00am – Arrive

8:15am – youth assist in feeding herd/clean barn

9:15am – youth assist in grooming/saddling horses

10:00am – Snack/craft

10:30am – ride in ring/game

11:30am – youth assist in unsaddling, turn horses out

12:00pm – Parents pick up

Day 4

8:00am – Arrive

8:15am – youth assist in grooming/saddling

9:00am – ride in ring/game

10:00am – water horses/snack

10:30am – horse show for parents

11:30am – youth assist in unsaddling horses, turn horses out

12:00pm- Parents pick up
