While our event is large in size, the food service offered is limited as to the accommodations that can be made for dietary needs. Some substitutions may be possible, but we ask that those with specific dietary restrictions email help@shawneelodge.org to check availability.

Section Conclave is the annual event where the seven Order of the Arrow lodges of Section G7: Anpetu-We, Black Hawk, Illinek, Illini, Nisha Kittan, Shawnee, and Woapink gather for a weekend of fellowship, fun, and competition. Each year, the event is hosted by a different lodge at a different camp with a unique theme. This year, Shawnee Lodge is hosting the event at Beaumont Scout Reservation with the theme of Despicable Me: Tonight we Steal the Conclave.

Program Highlights

Conclave Kick Off – Saturday morning begins with a kickoff of Minion themed minute-to-win it games between the lodges and guidance for the rest of the day.

Open Activities Saturday – A variety of activities are open from 9-5 on Saturday including a 150-foot inflatable obstacle course, range activities including action archery (think skeet shotgun but with bow and arrow), Mud Cave tours (a Beaumont staple with a hike to a cave that is decorated out), climbing tower, and yard games of various kinds.

Training – Various training sessions throughout Saturday focusing on both youth and adult, including a keynote session by special guest Gateway Region Chief Haley Flores.

Minions-in-Training Activities - The section officers will travel around camp with small games and challenges for delegates to participate in for small prizes!

Saturday Show and After Party – We will close the event out with a Saturday show highlighting the theme, awards, recognition, etc. followed by an after party and cracker barrel full of music, games, food, and fellowship.

Pre-Ordeal Ceremony Competition – Lodges can send teams to participate in an evaluation and competition for the Pre-Ordeal Ceremony. This will be the last section competition for this form of the ceremony.

Meet the Chiefs – An open panel to ask questions of the section officers, and special guests from the national committee.

Friday Night Movies – Movies from the Despicable Me franchise will be played

Trading Post – Come see and purchase exclusive event merchandise from the section, the lodges, and the Gateway region!

OA Museum – Come see patch and memorabilia displays highlighting each lodge!

Meals – Meals provided are Friday cracker barrel, Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cracker barrel, and a Sunday breakfast.

Horse Trail Rides - $35

Tail Rides are an hour long through the wooded backcountry of the 2,400 acre Beaumont Scout Reservation. Rides are limited and will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Please note that there is a 230 pound weight limit to participate in the trail rides.
