Training Schedule and Information
March 28, 2026 at Camp Warren Levis (Taste of Venturing)
May 2, 2026 Beaumont Scout Reservation

October 3, 2026 Beaumont Scout Reservation

Saturday – meet at 8am at climbing tower site at each property. At all trainings, you will learn the operations of the Beaumont, Camp Lewallen and the Camp Warren Levis towers.

The training lasts until 1pm; bring lunch and plenty of water. 

Starting at 1pm, everyone participating in the training will need to have TWO YOUTH arrive, who will give participants the opportunity to demonstrate the climbing instructor skills learned in the morning. We expect to wrap up by 5pm.

At the end of the training and skills demonstration on training day, participants will receive a 2-year certification card to be a Tower Instructor for our three climbing towers.

Tower training qualifies you to take your Cub Scout, Scouts BSA or Venturing unit climbing at our tower climbing program sites at Beaumont, 
Camp Lewallen and Camp Warren Levis.

Cub Scouts are permitted to climb on towers ONLY. Cub Scouts are not 
permitted to rappel at any program site, or to climb on natural climbing sites.

Saturday, May 2nd at Beaumont (High Ridge MO)
Fall 2026: Saturday Oct 3rd at Beaumont

Tower training is also offered at Camp Lewallen summer camp every week

Late Sign-ups: the on-line registration system does not allow registrations starting at midnight. If you want to sign up for the training course  that morning please contact the Training Director below. They will be able to give you the needed information.
