2020 Youth Protection Training- Virtual Oct
Youth Protection Training
Monday, October 12th 7:00-9:00 PM,
(virtual classroom opens at 6:45pm)
True youth protection can be achieved only through the focused commitment of everyone in Scouting. It is the mission of Youth Protection adult volunteers and Scouting professionals to work within the Boy Scouts of America to maintain a culture of Youth Protection awareness and safety.
Youth Protection training is required for all BSA registered adult volunteers. It is a joining requirement, and continued membership requires that it be retaken every two years.
The Greater St. Louis Area Council of the BSA offers Youth Protection training in live, virtual classroom sessions using the Zoom online meeting service. Any adult may participate, whether they are a member or not. Some youth staff may also participate - call 314-361-0600 for information.
For adult volunteers and youth staff, Youth Protection training requirements are satisfied when a participant earns a passing grade on the knowledge assessment which concludes the session.
IMPORTANT: When your scoutingevent.com event registration is complete, you will receive the first of two confirmation messages by email. The first message, from scoutingevent.com, will direct you to a Zoom meeting registration form. After you have completed the Zoom form, you will receive the second confirmation message, this time directly from Zoom. The Zoom confirmation message will contain the information you need to join the online meeting on the day of your course.
If you have questions, please refer to the "Contact" menu on the right side of this web page.
When registering, remember to provide your BSA member ID or indicate that you are a new member. Training is logged for registered members. Every participant who successfully completes a course will receive confirmation by email.
