Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Training and Troop Committee Challenge

Registration is required, no walk ins please. 

Date: Saturday: October 28, 2023
Time: 9am -12:30pm; plus IOLS Meeting at 3pm for Scoutmasters and Asst. Scoutmasters or anyone who wants to complete the training. 
Location: : Dempster Hall, Southeast MO State University, 814 Henderson Ave, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701, Room TBD

 

This is BSA’s initial level of training for the top leaders of Scout troops. It is designed for Scoutmasters, assistant Scoutmasters, and junior assistant Scoutmasters. However, committee members and other adults connected to a Scout troop are welcome to attend.

When Scoutmaster Position-Specific training and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) have both been completed, new Scoutmasters will have the tools needed to begin an effective Scouting program.

Attending this event implies the IOLS portion will be completed at this time. Please also sign up for that training. A brief meeting will follow this event to discuss expectations and preparations for the training.
