Join us for Personal Management Merit Badge, hosted at Thrivent Financial. Personal management is about mapping a plan for your life that will involve setting short-range and long-range goals and investigating different ways to reach those goals. Education, training, and experience all help make your goals become a reality. To achieve your goals, you will choose the best path and make a commitment to it, while remaining flexible enough to deal with changes and new opportunities.

In order to complete the merit badge, scouts will be required to track expenses for a 13 week period following the merit badge clinic.

The classroom session will cover much of the badge, but there are several time-consuming parts that need to be completed outside the classroom, Parts 2, 8, and 9.  If your scout is able to do these, or much of this, in advance, please have them bring those materials and notes. 

In preparation for the workshop, please talk with your scout about an item that your family might want to purchase that is considered a major expense (part 1 a).  That will be a part of the classwork as a group, but if they can bring examples or ideas, that may help get that conversation going in a more meaningful way for them.
