2021 Nisha Kittan Lodge Leadership Development

Event Details

Calling ALL Lodge members; Adult and Youth, New Arrowmen, and veterans! Your participation in the 2021 LLD weekend will help to ensure the success of the Lodge for the 2022 program year.

Have you thought about stepping into a leadership role at the Chapter or Lodge level? This training is your chance to ask questions from current officers on the different positions and their responsibilities. Want to join the Ceremonies team? Come and meet the team to discuss practices and roles. Do you just want to know MORE about the Order of the Arrow and why we do what we do? Then come and join us for a fun-filled day of training. Don't forget your costumes and SCARY stuff to help with Haunted Hayrides on Saturday evening! (All are welcome to come in Friday evening and assist with Haunting that night as well.) FYI, we have decided to coordinate our Lodge theme for the haunting...please bring either an orange DOC jumpsuit OR a clown (doesn't HAVE to look scary, but will probably BE scary in the dark!!) costume for the Friday and Saturday evening hauntings, if you plan to participate in this extra event.

OA Lodge Leadership Development, or LLD, is the perfect mesh of year-round and conference-style training for you and your local lodge and chapter leaders. LLD keeps members' knowledge of OA policies, procedures, and traditions fresh, and provides an avenue through which lodges can strategically focus toward preparing their leaders for success in achieving the High-Performing Lodge distinction. And, this year, we will do it all with a fun atmosphere of haunts and Halloween!

This event will start on Saturday morning with check-in at 8:00 am near the Dining Hall, and the event will conclude by 5:00pm on Saturday evening.  Saturday lunch will be provided. Housing is available in the staff cabin area  (1 to a cabin, please bring your own bedding). All those who wish to bring their own tent (1 person to a tent) and stay on the property are welcome, and everyone should remember their personal gear to include full field uniform with sash and activity uniforms.  The cost of this event is $5.00 for all participants and staff, which will cover the cost of lunch and snacks, the event patch, and any printed materials. Please also make sure to bring a water bottle and camp chair, to allow the classes to go outside, weather permitting.
