2019 Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills - IOLS

Event Details

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills.

A new Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster is considered trained upon completion of Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training and the Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills.

This hands-on program gives adult leaders a practical introduction to the patrol method of a boy-led troop by teaching many of the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors.

This full weekend course will include the SM/ASM Leader Specific Training and the IOLS training.

This registration site is intended for individuals who wish to participate in the council contingent group. The contingent group covers the Scoutmaster indoor and outdoor training, providing a complete training experience. Some districts will organize a group and attend the event the same weekend to train for IOLS. The districts may conduct the indoor training at a different date. To see if your district is organizing a group for IOLS contact your District Training Chair at
