Honorary Troop Enjoy Illinois 300 - NASCAR

Be a part of the excitement of NASCAR in greater St. Louis on Sunday, June 2nd and join us as a member of the Honor Troop Guard!   Open to all Scouts in uniform and only 60 spots available.  

World Wide Technology Raceway
700 Raceway Blvd, Madison, IL 62060 (just 5 minutes from the Arch) 

Here are the details:

• 60 Scout spots available, first come first served, there will be a waitlist.  Open to all level of Scouts for the Honor Guard.  
• Please register by May 28, an information email will be sent to families on the 29th.   
• Scouts must be in a uniform shirt, bonus if you have shorts and socks too.  No sashes.  
• Each Scout will get 3 tickets and a free parking pass.   
• Scouts must arrive by gathering point once inside gate at Noon, from there they will be escorted to the inside track.  
• Scouts will be lined up to form the Honor Guard to welcome in the Drivers during the opening ceremonies near 2 p.m.  
• There might be the chance for the Scouts to shake drivers hands or high five, and might be in view of the camera during the broadcast.
• The gates open at 9 a.m. and if you come early, stop by the STEM LANE area and catch the STEM Lab Trailer and Welding expo. 
• After the opening ceremonies, the Scouts will be released to their parents/leaders and enjoy watching the race.   
• Be prepared to bring protective ear plugs, it does get loud!  Plenty of vendors available for that and food.
