2026 Grizzly Day Camp

Event Details

Get ready for adventure at Grizzly Day Camp!

Thanks for your interest in Cub Scout Day Camps—we can’t wait for your Scout to dive into an unforgettable summer at Grizzly Day Camp at Beaumont Scout Reservation!

Who can attend?

Grizzly Day Camp is open to Cub Scouts who will be Tigers (1st grade), Wolves (2nd grade), Bears (3rd grade), Webelos Scouts (4th grade), or Arrow of Light Scouts (5th grade) in fall 2026. This camp is one of many great day camp options offered throughout the region.

Five Weeks. Five Themes. Endless Fun.

Grizzly Camp is extra special because it offers five different sessions, each with its own unique theme. In addition to the activities unique to each week, Scouts can look forward to shooting sports, swimming, and hands-on nature activities at all sessions.

Camp Dates and Themes

  • July 6-10:  Wild World Builders
    • Get ready to build the world of your dreams! Whether it's crafting amazing structures from natural materials, designing your own cities, or building with blocks and bricks, this week is all about creativity, engineering, and imagination. Think architecture meets adventure!

  • July 13-17:  Around the World in 5 Days
    • Pack your adventure passport! Each day, journey to a new country and explore its wildlife, games, food, and traditions. From the savannas of Africa to the peaks of the Himalayas, this globe-trotting week celebrates the many cultures that make our world extraordinary.

  • July 20-24:  Mission Impossible / Camp Spy Academy
    • Welcome to the world of secret codes, stealth missions, and epic escape plans. Learn how to crack ciphers, build gadgets, solve clues, and complete daring team challenges in this high-energy week at Spy School. Are you ready for the mission?

  • July 27-31:  Camp Carnival / The Greatest Week on Earth
    • It’s time to celebrate! Bring the fun of the fair to Grizzly with games, color, music, laughter, and surprises at every turn. From wacky relay races to silly science and circus-style stunts, every day is packed with joy and wonder.

  • August 3-7:  Mythical Beasts and Legendary Lands
    • Enter a realm of dragons, unicorns, sea serpents, and griffins. Journey through enchanted forests, magical mountains, and hidden realms where mythical beasts come to life. Create your own creature, design its habitat, and embark on a fantasy-filled quest.

Registering Made Easy

We strongly encourage Cub Packs to register as a pack. Please have a single leader or parent collect all registration information and payments for the pack, and then submit them at once. Call us at 314-361-0600 or email help@stlbsa.org if you need assistance.

Camp Fees, Savings, and Financial Assistance

Even as prices climb everywhere else, our camp fees stay the same for the 3rd year in a row!

  • Camp Fee: $125 per Scout for a week-long session
  • Multi-Week Savings:  Consider attending additional week-long sessions for only $105 per Scout. The discount should automatically apply during the online registration process, but contact us if it does not.
  • Early Registration Discount:  Save $10 if you register no later than April 15. That means you'll pay $115 for the 1st week and $105 for any additional week.
  • Financial Assistance:  Families in need may apply for a campership, which can cover up to 50% of the camp fee.Apply using the link at the right of this page.

Parent Participation

  • Tigers (1st grade):  Scouts entering first grade this fall are called Tigers, and Tigers are required to have an adult partner at all Scouting activities including Grizzly Day Camp.
  • Everyone Else:  Camp staff provide the supervision! Parents and Cub Scout leaders are welcome and encouraged to attend with their Scouts at any time on any day, but it's not required. Campers are assigned to small groups and a camp staff member serves as their "walk-around" staff, helping guide activities and support the campers.

Info to Know

  • Day-Only Schedule:  These camps operate 9am to 4pm daily, Monday through Friday. Scouts don't stay overnight.
  • Before and After Care: Need a little extra flexibility? Optional before-care (8am to 9am.) and after-care (4pm to 6pm) are available. Add before care for $35, after care for $35 — or both ($70) for full coverage.
  • Lunch:  Scouts will need to bring a packed lunch each day they attend camp. Lunch is not provided.
  • Health Forms:  Scouts don't need a physical or doctor's evaluation, but they must bring parts A and B of the Scouting America Annual Health and Medical Record, often referred to as the Health Form. Download it HERE and complete pages 1-3. Part C (page 4) is not required for Grizzly Day Camp. No doctor's signature is required. Forms are for everyone's safety.
  • Camp Staff:  Camp Grizzly is made possible by a small group of camp staffers. Some are in charge of program areas and others serve as "walk-around" camp counselors, assigned to supervise a small group of Scouts, helping them navigate the camp, guiding activity participation, and supporting needs that arise. If you're hired to lead a program area for a week, your Cub Scout child(ren) can attend at a 50% discount. If you're interested in helping out on staff, please email help@stlbsa.org.
