Chartered Organization Representatives (COR) is an important member of any scouting organization.  The COR is the direct contact between the unit and the Chartered Organization. This individual is also the organization’s contact with the District Committee and the Local Council. The chartered organization representative may become a member of the district committee and is a voting member of the council. If the chartered organization has more than one unit, one representative serves them all. The Chartered Organization Representative appoints the Unit Committee Chairman.

During our two hour session we will learn about the COR position, how the COR fits into scouting, how the COR can benefit scouting and how scouting can support the Chartered Organization.  Please plan on joining us for this important training.  Chartered Organization Representatives (COR) please join us on September 21th to become a trained COR leader.

The training will address the latest in the relationships between Chartered Organizations and the Boy Scouts of America.

It will also answer the following questions:

1.  What are my responsibilities as a COR and a Chartered Organization?

2.  How can I help our units achieve a proper program for our scouts?

3.  How can my units contribute to the success of the Chartering Organization?

4.  What are the top issues as a COR I should be aware of?

5.  Why should my institution support the scouts?

6.  Girl's in Boy Scouts, explain this to me?

We will be meeting from 7:00 to 9:30 on Wednesday, September 21st at Congregation Shaare Emeth, Ladue and Ballas Roads (1/4 mile east of I-270 and Ladue)

This is a council wide event and all COR's, Committee Chairs, Sponsoring Institution Leadership and other interested adults are invited to attend."
