The Black Gold Merit Badge Day is hosted by the Mount Vernon Airport, in Mount Vernon, IL.  Check-in will begin at 8:30am in the main terminal building with the Bonnie Cafe in it.  Class begins with the Photography merit badge from 9am to 11am, followed by a 2 hour break for lunch and flights.  The day will end with the Environmental Science merit badge from 1:30pm-4pm.  

Lunch will be provided.  It will be Pizza from the Bonnie Cafe at the airport.  Lunch is from 11am to 1pm, and during this time, Scouts can eat and catch a quick flight with the Young Eagles Rally.  During the Scouts flight, if they wish, they can take their photos for the photography merit badge and submit those to the Counselor.  

You can also email them to the Black Gold District Executive to have them displayed on the Facebook page, as well as share them with the airport.  For those Scouts in units in the Black Gold District, the District Committeee will vote on their favorite submission, for an award to be presented at the Annual District Dinner in February.  All photos will be on a slide show for that dinner as well.
