2025 Boone Trails Scouts BSA Fishing Clinic
Date: August 9, 2025
Location: August A Busch Lake Number 1
Time: Check-in from 8:00-8:20. Event ends at 3 PM.
Open fishing is available after the completion of the merit badge. Older scouts will serve as Den Chiefs to the Cub Scouts from 10:30 AM - Noon, to satisfy the project requirement of the Complete Angler Award.
The Scouts BSA Fishing Clinic is designed to offer two badges for the scouts to select one from, and to complete Requirement #2 of the Complete Angler Award. The two merit badges are Fishing and Fly-Fishing.
YOU MAY ONLY REGISTER YOUR SCOUT FOR ONE MERIT BADGE.
Fishing

Prerequisites:
Print out and complete the workbook.
If you have a rod and reel, please bring it.
Fly-Fishing
Merit Badge Counselor: Jack Culian (scouterjack1410@gmail.com)
Capacity:10 Scouts
Prerequisites:
Print out and complete the workbook.
If you have a fly-fishing rod and reel, please bring it.
Scouts may attend with partials but they will need to let the merit badge counselors know what requirements they need and wait their turn.
Everyone is encouraged to bring:
Water bottle
Sack Lunch and/or Snacks
Completed merit badge worksheet and blue card
Fishing rod and reel OR Fly fishing rod and gear - dependent on selected merit badge
Sunscreen
Bug Spray
Hats
Please bring with you a filled out Blue Card for the merit badge you are registered for. None will be available at the event.
