2025 Boone Trails Cub Scout Fishing Clinic

2025 Boone Trails Fishing Clinic
Date: August 9, 2025
Location: August A Busch Lake Number 2, and Lake Number 15.
Time: Check-in from 8:00-8:30, event expected to end at 12:00.
At the Boone Trails Fishing Clinic, participants will learn the basics of fishing. This will include safety, how to cast, how to build a fishing kit, and conservation. Cub Scouts are able to complete their rank-specific fishing adventure. This event is open to Cub Scouts and their friends who are interested in scouts and/or fishing, and age-appropriate siblings. Adult leaders can register with the intent to learn how to teach other Cub Scouts in the Den or Pack that did not attend. This instruction will help the adult leader make for a more successful Pack Fishing Derby.
If you have a rod and reel, you are encouraged to bring one for each youth that will be fishing. There will be a very limited number if any available this year. For adults (ages 15 and older) who will be fishing, a Missouri Fishing License will be required.
It will be required to have:
- Water bottle - as one is required for one of the station's activities.
- Closed Toe Shoes
Additionally, it is encouraged to bring:
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
- Hat
- Long Pants
