New in 2019, the Greater St. Louis Area Council is offering limited opportunities to hunt at S bar F Scout Ranch or Beaumont Scout Reservation during the firearms deer season. These properties have an abundance of whitetail deer and could greatly benefit from a managed-hunt program. Camps are closed to campers during this portion of deer season. To participate in one of these hunts, hunters must meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to provide proof of required trainings/certifications, including:
  • Missouri Department of Conservation Heritage card, if born on or after 1/1/1967.
  • Current Missouri Firearms Deer permit
• Participate in a pre-hunt orientation. This will be coordinated with the camp ranger and will include definition of hunting area and stand/blind placement. 
• Sign a written liability release. This will be sent electronically after registration. 
• Be able to field dress and transport animal. 
• Must agree to abide by all federal, state, and local laws, including mandatory CWD testing laws.
• Qualifying hunters will have the option of harvesting one doe and one buck. If attempting to harvest a buck, it must have at least four points on one side.
• Must register by 9:00 AM the day prior to intended hunt date. 
• If staying overnight on property, hunters must arrive by 8:00 PM the night before their hunt. 
• Absolutely no alcohol is allowed on property. 
   

Hunts are available for $1,500 per hunter, which includes: 

• Opportunity to harvest a buck and a doe on private property. Hunters will be allowed to hunt on November 16,17, 23, and 24, 2019. At S-F Scout Ranch, qualifying hunters will be allowed to hunt the Alternative Methods portion on December 28-29, 2019 as well.  
• Onsite guidance to hunting area prior to day of hunt. Must be coordinated with Ranger staff.
• Lodging in bunkhouse-style cabin facilities.
