Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS)

Please note: All participants must also attend a virtual orientation session to be held on Monday, April 20, from 7 – 8:30 PM via Zoom.  The link will be emailed to you the morning of Monday, April 20th.

Outdoor skills training is a 2-night training, to take place May 1-3, 2026, at Beaumont Scout Reservation. Arrive Friday, no earlier than 5:30 PM for setup. Check-in at 6, program begins at 7 on the 1st. The training will wrap by 11:30 AM on Sunday. 

Please see the attachment for personal and patrol gear lists.  You will have the opportunity to discuss patrol gear during the patrol meeting segment of the virtual orientation session.

We are excited to offer this training to help you bring the best program possible to the youth. Thank you for your time & dedication to the program.

This training will be a rain or shine event; please be prepared for the weather.

Cost of the training is $40, which includes three meals on Saturday, Breakfast on Sunday, and Cracker Barrel both evenings.
