2026 National Scout Jamboree (GSLAC)

Event Details

The National Jamboree is Scouting’s flagship event and is one-of-a-kind. Join 25,000 Scouts, leaders, and staff at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia to experience everything from one of the longest zip lines in North America, a world-class skate park, all-terrain vehicles, treetop canopy tours, rock climbing, patch trading, stadium shows, and much more! Held every four years, the Jamboree is an amazing opportunity for everyone to experience the best of Scouting, all in one place.  Your Scout may have been to the Summit Bechtel Reserve, but they have not experienced the awesomeness of the Jamboree.

 

Cost
$2,400 per person

Payment Schedule
$250 - Due at time of registration
$215 - Due by the 15th of each month, May 2025 - February 2026

Youth and Adult Program Participant Registration Requirements

  • Be at least 12 years old by the first day and not yet 21 by the last day of the National Jamboree.
  • Be currently registered as a youth or adult program participant in a Scouts BSA, Venturing, or Sea Scout unit.
  • Submit an annual health and medical form.
  • Meet the minimum health requirements for High Adventure participation.
  • Agree to follow the Jamboree Code of Conduct and Statement of Understanding.

Scout Leader Requirements (Leaders Must Apply Before Submitting their Registration - APPLY HERE)
All National Jamboree Scoutmasters / Advisors / Skippers and first-, second-, and thirdassistant leaders must meet the following requirements:

  • Possess a current Scouting America membership with a Scouts BSA Troop, Venturing Crew, or Sea Scout Ship.
  • Be at least 21 years old by the first day the contingent departs for the National Jamboree.
  • Scoutmaster / Advisor / Skipper applicants must be currently serving as a Scoutmaster / Advisor / Skipper.
  • All Assistant leaders must be currently serving in a unit in an adult leadership position.
  • Scoutmaster / Advisor / Skipper applicants must have completed leader-specific training.
  • All Adult leaders must file a National Jamboree personal health and medical record.
  • All adult leaders must be approved by the local council.

    In addition, all leaders must:
  • Submit all registration fees per their local council’s payment schedule.
  • Be current in Scouting America Youth Protection Training through the last day of the National Jamboree.
  • Must complete “Understanding and Preventing Youth on Youth Abuse for Camp staff and NYLT staff” prior to arrival at the National Jamboree.

All participant payments are non-refundable but can be transferred to another non-registered participant who replaces a cancelling participant. Additionally, application requires that the Scouts and Venturers abide by the specific policies of the Jamboree and failure of any participant to adhere to those policies will serve as grounds to have their participation revoked (with no refund).

 

The participant fee is $2,400 per person. The participant fee includes: 

  • National Jamboree fee
  • Jamboree Neckerchief, Jamboree Day Pack, 2 Jamboree Participant Patches
  • Contingent T-Shirts (2), Contingent Hat (1), Contingent Duffle Bag
  • 1 Scouts BSA or Venturing Uniform Shirt (With Council Patch, World Crest, & Shoulder Loops)
  • 2 - Jamboree Council Shoulder Patches, 3 - Jamboree Patch Trader Sets
  • Training weekend campout before the Jamboree
  • Transportation to/from Jamboree
  • Meals to/from Jamboree
  • Participants are responsible for their uniforms (two complete field/class A uniforms (one shirt provided)), personal gear (e.g., mess kit and sleeping bag), and spending money.
  • All Troop/Crew gear such as tents, cots, stoves, troop pots/pans, tables, etc.
