Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS)

Please Note: All participants must also attend a virtual orientation session to be held Monday, October 12th, from 7 – 8:30 PM via Zoom.  The link will be emailed to you the morning of Monday, October 12th.

Outdoor skills training is a 2 night training, to take place Ocotber 23-25, 2026 at Beaumont Scout Reservation. Arrive Friday no earlier than 5:30 PM for setup. Check-in at 6, program begins at 7 on the 23rd. The training will wrap by 11:30 AM on Sunday. 

Please see the attachment for personal and patrol gear lists.  You will have the opportunity to discuss patrol gear during the patrol meeting segment of the virtual orientation session.

We are excited to offer this training to help you bring the best program possible to the youth. Thank you for your time & dedication to the program.

This training will be a rain or shine event; please be prepared for weather.

Cost of the training is $40, which includes 3 meals on Saturday, Breakfast on Sunday, and cracker barrel both evenings.
