Family Night at the Races – Pinewood Derby & Movie Night!

Scouts, start your engines! The Gravois Trail District Pinewood Derby is shifting gears to an exciting Family Night at the Races on Friday, May 9, 2025! Get ready for a thrilling evening of high-speed racing fun and a family-friendly movie to cap off the night.

All registered Scouts—from Lions to Arrow of Light—are invited to bring their best cars and compete for the title of Fastest in the District. Stick around after the races for a movie under the lights, making this an unforgettable night for the whole family!

2025 Race Rules
*NOTE: For consistency and so that you can use the same car at multiple events, our rules match the Council Derby rules for their event the weekend of march 8th, in which you're also encouraged to participate.

Race Format: We run the Perfect N with each car racing once on each lane. Each Scout gets at least 4 races and the winner is the Fastest Average Time of those 4 races.

Races by grade groups: Awards for 1st–3rd place in each grade!

Overall District Champions: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall fastest cars!

Adults, Don’t Miss Out!

Entry Fees (Includes a Patch):

• $5 per Scout Car Entry
• $10 per Adult/Sibling "Outlaw" Car Entry
