North Star Swimming Skills Center 2023 

I am excited for this years North Star Swimming Skills 2023, being held at Hazelwood East High School, every Saturday from January 7th to February 11th. The cost is $10 for 6 weeks.

For Scouts BSA that are earning their Swimming or Lifesaving Merit Badges the time is from  9:00am-10:30am and all Scouts will need to bring a signed merit badge card from your Scoutmaster, no cards will be given out. 

This year we have a special class that will be taught by Emily Mausshardt, it is BSA Lifeguard! In the years I have been doing Swim Skills this has never been offered. The time for this class is 11:00am-12:30. To sign up for this class you must be a registered BSA Scout or Venturer and we are opening this class up to Adult volunteers. You must be 15 years of age or older and have a signed Part B&C form (dated within the last year). THIS IS THE ONLY CLASS OPEN TO ADULTS. 

For Cub Scouts or Scouts BSA attending the Learn to Swim we have 2 different times you can choose from (please keep the same time every week) 10:45am-11:30am and 11:45am-12:30pm. Since there is little time between classes we ask that everyone be ready to go at their start time. 

 NO SIBLINGS OR ADULTS ARE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE……THIS IS FOR SCOUTS ONLY! 

I realize the class times are shorter this year, in the past we had the pool from 7:30am to 2:00pm, and that this is late notice, but we must be thankful that the Hazelwood School District is letting us have our Swim Skills. Due to late notice we will allow people to register and pay at the at the door, but would appreciate if you registered on line to give us a heads up on how many people to except. 

We have a great crew that is willing to help, guide, and teach every Scout that attends. Can’t wait to see everyone!
