2018 Explore Venturing
Event Details
Are your older scouts interested in knowing more about Venturing and experiencing high adventure, or is your crew looking for your next campout, activity, and recruiting event? Bring a friend or a sibling (Venturing Age) and come join us for a weekend of activities and fellowship, April 27 - 29 at Explore Venturing! The event activities will include:
- Bring a Real Friend (BARF pass) to skip the lines.
- Friday night double feature (movies)
- Leathercrafting
- Crate Stacking
- Skeet shooting (20 & 12 gauge)
- Rifle and Handgun
- 3D Archery
- Canoes, Kayaking and more
- Flytying and Fishing
- LARPing
- Slacklining
- Bouldering
- Life Size Clue Game
- Glowstick/Flashlight Capture the Flag
- Hiking around camp
- Kickball tournament
- Introduction to Leadership Skills Crews (ILSC)
- Saturday night Luau by the Winter Lodge (potluck style meal/dutch oven cooking competition, fire, music, and FUN!)
Those in attendance over age 16 who want to fish at the lake will need to get a valid fishing permit. You can find more information here:

Please note, units are responsible for their own tents and food.
