NRA Basic of Shotgun and NRA Shotgun Instructor Weekend

March 21 - 22, 2026

This course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot shotguns. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting straight away trap, cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development.  All firearms and ammunition will be provided.

Students must attend both days of the course.  The NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting Course, Basic Instructor Training Course, and NRA Instructor Shotgun Shooting Course will all be covered during the weekend.  

The course will be held at NRA Building at Rhodes France Scout Reservation.  Lunch will be provided for both days as well as Saturday Dinner and Sunday Breakfast.  Feel free top bring any snacks you like.

Cost:  $145

There is a credentialing fee with the NRA required for a 2-year term (NRA Membership is NOT required)
