Red Cross Wilderness First Aid
RED CROSS WILDERNESS FIRST AID
Designed for Scouts and Scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments, this course teaches advanced skills to be used in emergencies when help from first responders may be far away. Based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines, this course aligns with OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs.
Prerequisites: Must be at least 14 years old and hold current adult CPR/AED certification. If you do not have this certification it will be provided to you for an additional fee.
*Note: Your certification will be good for two years upon the completion of the course. You must all session during the weekend.
You will need to bring
- Field Uniform | Activity Uniform
- Personal Gear | Toiletrittes, Bedding, and other needed materials. You will be staying in staff area on Friday Night.
- Annual Health and Medical Record (Parts A & B)

- All Meals and Snacks ( You need to eat prior to arriving at HSR on Friday).
