Come and see why Hood Scout Reservation is "Mississippi's Scout Camp". 

Summer camp is the highlight of the year for many Scouts. In the Andrew Jackson Council, we hold our summer camp at Hood Scout Reservation located on the rolling hill of Northwest Copiah on 1,200 acres. Scouts spend six nights camping out with their Troops. During the days, they participate in activities ranging from stand-up paddleboarding to insect study, wilderness survival to robotics, fingerprinting to fishing, and climbing to archery while working toward some of the more than 50 available merit badges.

Additional Information for Scout Troop considering Hood Scout Reservation.

• Financial assistance is available for ANY Scout that needs help attending Hood Scout Reservation.
• Hood Scout Reservation offers a $500 credit to ANY unit that is attending HSR for the first time or has not attended Summer | Winter Camp at HSR in the last 3 years. 
• Hood Scout Reservation offers a $500 credit to ANY unit that recruits a unit to attend HSR for the first time.
