Paddlecraft Safety | Swim/Water Rescue Training

BSA AQUATICS SUPERVISION TRAINING - PADDLE CRAFT SAFETY | SWIMMING & WATER RESCUE
Andrew Jackson Council Aquatics Committee will offer BSA Aquatic Supervision Training in August. This training is intended for Unit Leaders to enable them to safely deliver aquatics programs at the Unit level in a variety of environments. This course will offer Swimming and Water Rescue and Paddlecraft Safety. This is a two-day course, but participants can elect to complete one or both certifications. The course will be limited to a maximum of 30 participants.
Participants can be Adult Leaders and Scouts/Venturers that are 15 years or older.
Cost: $30 per participant. Includes food, all materials, and certification patches for those that successfully complete the course.
NOTE: In order to successfully complete the course, participants must participate in all sessions and pass an exam. All participants must be able to pass the BSA Swim Test. Swimming and Water Rescue Participants must also be able to Swim 450 yards and perform Lifesaving rescues. Paddlecraft Safety participants must be able to capsize and recover canoes and kayaks.
