CUB SCOUT POLAR BEAR WEEKEND

DUE TO THE WEATHER, THE CUB SCOUT POLAR BEAR WEEKEND IS A SATURDAY-ONLY EVENT. PLEASE CHECK HERE AND SOCIAL MEDIA FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IN THE DAYS TO COME.

CUB SCOUT FAMILY CAMP

Join us for a weekend all about cooking!  There will be scheduled activities and demonstrations as well as cooking preparation time for various cooking competitions.  Get those recipes ready!

Check-in will begin at 4:30 Friday afternoon and go until 7:00 PM.  Once it begins getting dark (likely 5:30-5:45), the gates will close and vehicles will not be allowed to enter camp.  We have to think of the safety of our scouts and familes.  Our recommendation is to have families pack whatever gear they can in the pack trailer.  If a pack trailer shows up after the gates are closed but before check-in ends, a staff member will escort them to the campsite.

Check-in Saturday morning will begin at 7:30 and go until 8:30 at the shooting sports building.  Vehicles will not be allowed to enter camp Saturday morning.  Opening ceremonies will begin at 8:45 AM.

Activities will include Boulder Wall, SlingShot, Scavenger Hunt, making Armpit Fudge, decorating your own Chef Hat, making a Pasta Necklace, making a box oven (solar oven), as well as games and an afternoon movie in the dining hall (with popcorn).  Demonstrations will be set up which will include a Handwashing Station with a cool demonstration, a Cleaning Station showing the bucket cleaning process, My Plate activity, and Unconventional Cooking Demonstrations.  A Smores Station will be set up to visit on your way to the Dance Party and Closing Ceremony.  Have your Pack and/or Den get together and decorate an apron ahead of time to bring to camp with you for an apron decorating contest.

As you can see, we have a LOT of fun things planned.  We can't wait to see you!  Register today!!!
