Roundtable - Four Rivers District
*No Registration Needed*
What are Roundtables? Roundtables provide unit leaders with the skill to do and the will to do what is needed to ensure that every member of every unit has a great Scouting experience. Roundtables build upon the foundation provided by position-specific basic training and each leader’s commitment to serving youth through Scouting. |
Roundtables serve unit leaders by:
- Providing networking opportunities.
- Offering current program training.
- Providing and capturing information through unit leader/commissioner collaboration.
At Roundtable meetings unit leaders will:
- Learn the skills and tips to lead a successful unit.
- Hear best practices, tips, tricks and guidance from fellow Scouters.
- Receive helpful program ideas.
- Experience fun and fellowship with other leaders.
- Improve ability to prepare their youth to live the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Who should attend Roundtables?
All unit leaders, unit committee members, chartered organization representatives (CORs) and commissioners should attend roundtable, but it is understood that with everyone’s full schedules, all leaders might not be able to attend EVERY monthly event.
It is almost ALWAYS possible, however, that at least one leader from each unit is available to attend. In fact, some units schedule rotations for their leaders to attend roundtable to ensure there is someone there each month.
