BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation)

Event Details

BALOO (BASIC ADULT Leader Outdoor Orientation)

Each Pack is required to have at least one BALOO-trained adult on every Cub Scout overnight outdoor event—including pack camping and Webelos/AOL Den overnighters. BSA’s Cub Scout-level camping policies will be taught along with the necessary tools to help units carry out a successful camping experience. 

Check-in begins at 6:00 AM Saturday Morning at the Snack Shack (weather permitting). The first training session begins at 8:00 AM. All participants are required to spend one-night camping in order to receive credit for the course. Do not forget to complete the online prerequisite course found at www.my.scouting.org.  

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING WITH YOU

Annual Health and Medical Form (Parts A and B)

Field Uniform 

Camping Gear | tent, bedding, or sleeping bag

Personal Gear | toiletries, towel, and clothing (dress for the weather)

Bring a camp chair for the sessions. 

WHAT IS PROVIDED?

All training materials, meals, and snacks.
