BALOO (BASIC ADULT Leader Outdoor Orientation)
Each Pack is required to have at least one BALOO-trained adult on every Cub Scout overnight outdoor event—including pack camping and Webelos/AOL Den overnighters. BSA’s Cub Scout level camping policies will be taught along with the necessary tools to help units carry out a successful camping experience.
Check-in begins at 6:00 AM Saturday Morning at the Snack Shack (weather permitting). The first training session begins at 8:00 AM. All participants are required to spend one-night camping in order to receive credit for the course. Do not forget to complete the online prerequisite course found at www.my.scouting.org.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING WITH YOU
- Annual Health and Medical Form (Parts A and B)
- Field Uniform
- Camping Gear | tent, bedding, or sleeping bag
- Personal Gear | toiletries, towel, and clothing (dress for the weather)
- Bring a camp chair for the sessions.
WHAT IS PROVIDED?
- All training materials, meals, and snacks.
