2027 Philmont Trek

When: June 15th - June 27th, 2027

What: Backpack in Scouting Paradise! Spend 10 days trekking over rugged high mountain mesas. Each day offers new activities: pan for gold, rock climbing, blacksmithing, repelling, fishing, black powder shooting, and much more. Philmont is a strenuous but unforgettable adventure that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Where: Philmont Scout Ranch is Scouting America’s oldest national high-adventure base. It is 137,000 acres of rugged mountain wilderness in the Sangre De Cristo range of northern New Mexico about 4 miles west of Cimarron, New Mexico. Standing at 12,441 feet, the peak of Philmont’s Mt. Baldy, you can see the foothills of the Rocky Mountains just across the Colorado state line.

Who: Scouts or Venturers must be at least 14 years of age or 13 years of age and completed the 8th grade.

Total Cost - $2,800 (Estimated) Scholarships are available to deserving scouts.
