2024 Skills Merit Badge (Adventure Quest) Camp at Parker
Skills and Adventure Quest Merit Badge Weekend
Parker Scout Reservation 21930 Paradise Drive, Nisswa, MN
Classes are now open for registration! Thank you for your patience! We are excited to offer you some fun, exciting, (and some required) merit badges for 2024!!
Note: Merit Badge Classes are included in camp fees (some classes have additional fees). Merit Badge Awards must be verified and purchased by the units.
Please remember to use the waitlist if a class you want is filled. Register for your second choice if you can't get into your first choice, and then add to the waitlist. Waitlists are cleared often and popular classes can be adjusted if we know they need adjustment.
New this year will be the rifle merit badge offered with DNR Firearm Safety Field Day, if you want to skip the camping, just come up for the day. Adults will be considered as well. Sign up under DNR Field Day and ONLY choose the class option for the Firearm Safety Training.
Merit Badge Camp for Scouts, BSA
Skills MB Camp, 5:00 PM, Friday, October 4 - Noon on Sunday, October 6.
A list of merit badge options will be added here to this page as counselors commit to the weekend. When all classes are created, the classes will be opened for registration and this page will be updated. Check back for updates to see when classes close or waitlists are cleared.
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!! DNR Firearm Safety Field Day - complete the online training and finish your field day at camp!
$65 for Scouts, $25 for adults. Fees include Friday and Saturday night camping, (do you need them for your camping merit badge?), the opportunity to earn merit badges, and enjoy fellowship with Scouts from around the council! Meals are included, although some units may prefer to make their own in camp. Meals served will be breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday. Please let us know if you are cooking your own meals. Friday evening is an excellent time to teach cooking skills. Costs are the same with/without meals.
Camping may include multiple units per campsite. Invite your Webelos and AOL Scouts to attend the Webelos and AOL Adventures at the same time! Bring Health forms (A&B) for both youth and adult, tenting and sleeping gear (with extra blankets), personal gear, blue cards, notebook and writing tool, water bottle and/or coffee cup, money for trading post, and clothes for all weather. October can be the best time to camp!
REMEMBER - ADULTS ATTENDING CAMP WITH YOUTH MUST BE REGISTERED LEADERS AND YPT TRAINED, per updated BSA policy September 1, 2023.
If you forget your blue cards, there will be cards available for purchase during trading post hours for a quarter.
YPT TRAINED and REGISTERED LEADERSHIP is required.
