Classes have been loaded to the catalog and are now open for registration.

There is an open session currently on Sunday morning, please check back as that class is added.

2/20/23 Update - Many classes are filled and the castle accomodations are also filled.  We still have classes left with seats open - you can come for just one class, stay for the day, or camp outside overnight! (Cooking, Art, Personal Fitness, Weather, and Music) We have removed the waitlist option for the classes listed below due to reaching maximum capacity. 

Closed classes are:  Dentistry, Game Design, Textiles, Space Exploration, Animation, and Snow Sports

Hobbies and Crafts themed Merit Badge Camp.  Come and go, camp, or stay inside (limited accomodations); eat with us or as a troop. 

Pricing for this event is charged ala carte style - Choose your own adventure that works for your schedule.

Prices for Merit Badge Classes are listed as "additional fees" and include $10 for the class and any fees for that class.

Please use the waitlist if you are interested in a merit badge but it is full.  Often we are able to add a couple of people after the limit is reached; or if someone drops out, I can move you into their place.  PLEASE USE THE WAITLIST IF A CLASS YOU WANT IS FULL.

 

An incredible lineup of optional activities for Saturday evening:

CHESS TOURNAMENT (back by popular demand!)

BOARD GAMES (check out Mario PitchKart created by our game design merit badge counselor)

STAR PARTY (head to the beach and view the night sky)

MOVIE (watch a movie chosen by Citizenship in the Community class if needed for requirements)

CAMPFIRE (possibly hosted by the Theater and Music merit badge classes, or participate in skits and fun)

**SUPERVISED SNOW CAMPING OPTION** (fill the requirement for one night of snow camping for the Camping merit badge.  Anyone can participate - sign up at registration. )

WE WILL ALSO HAVE A SIGN UP AVAILABLE TO MEET WITH OUR MERIT BADGE COUNSELORS TO COMPLETE SIGN OFF ON ANY MERIT BADGES FOR WHICH THEY ARE REGISTERED.  

$10 per merit badge (plus applicable class fees), $4 per meal per person, $10 per person overnight stay in the castle, free overnight outside camping.  Adults are free, adult meals are $4 each and overnight in the castle is $5; camping is free.  Fees include the opportunity to earn merit badges, and enjoy fellowship with Scouts from around the council!  Available meals served will be breakfast, lunch, and supper on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday.  There will be cracker barrels Friday and Saturday nights after sessions end for those that are staying.

Castle accomodations are limited to 32 youth males, 16 youth females, 16 adult male leaders and 6 adult female leaders each night.    Bring Health forms for both youth and adult.  Tenting and sleeping gear if camping (with extra blankets), otherwise bring bedding for indoor sleeping.  Personal gear, blue cards, notebook and writing tool, water bottle and/or coffee cup, money for trading post (we MAY have a few things available), and clothes for any weather. March can be an interesting time to camp!  Several merit badge classes will be outdoors -  please dress appropriate for the weather or you may have to sit out of the outdoor activity portion of that badge.  Check the requirements and prerequisites for each merit badge and come prepared Castle accommodations will be first come, first served, and we will use both bottom and top bunks in every room.  Blue cards will be available for purchase for a quarter, but each scout SHOULD arrive with Scoutmaster signed blue cards.  

ADULT SUPERVISION is required.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Please plan to check in between 5:30pm and 6:30pm if arriving Friday evening.  Friday evening session begins promptly at 7pm. 

If checking in on Saturday, please plan to check in between 7am and 7:30am, Saturday morning session begins promptly at 8am. 

If checking in at a different time, please note that in the option on the registration site.
Registration closes on March 5th at 11:59pm. 

A $10 late registration fee will be added to all registrations after February 28.  

Groups must bring their own tents and camping gear if camping. If cooking at a campsite, you will be responsible for your own food items and meal prep utinsels.  

You may arrive starting at 5:30 PM on Friday, please check in at the Administration Building.
