Commissioners are district and council leaders who help Scout units succeed. They coach and consult with adult leaders of Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, and Venturing crews. Commissioners help maintain the standards of the Boy Scouts of America.  
 
On Friday, April 21st, an informal gathering will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott, our host hotel, from 6pm - 9pm.   The address is 17200 N Laurel Park Dr, Livonia, MI 48152 (Northwest corner of 6 Mile Rd and Newburgh).  You will want to get dinner.   Dress will be casual, no field uniforms for evening social.   Early registration check in will available.  No Cost

Saturday, April 22nd, the Michigan Crossroads Council College of Commissioner Science will start with check in at 7:  The opening starts promptly at 8:00 am.  Closing ceremonies will be complete by 5:00 pm.  Dress will be full uniform for the day.

The location is the VisTaTech Center at Schoolcraft College.   The college is located at 18600 Haggerty Rd, Livonia, MI 48152 (Southeast corner of 7 Mile Rd and Haggerty).  Participants should enter the center from Haggerty for the easiest access to parking and the building entrance.

Class sign up is by degree: Bachelors for Unit Commissioner Service, Bachelors of Roundtable, Masters for Unit Commissioner Service, Masters for Administrative Service, Doctorate- First year, Doctorate- Second Year (Thesis review) and Continuing Education.   Be sure to check the prerequisites before you sign up.     

There is a block of rooms reserved at a reduced rate at the Courtyard by Marriott, Livonia, 17200 N Laurel Park Dr, Livonia, MI. You must arrange for your rooms directly with the Marriott by calling (734) 462-2000 and mention the Boy Scouts of America/College of Commissioner Science.  The discounted rate is valid until March 31, 2017.

Our Keynote Speaker will be Tim Acree.  Tim has a strong passion for training.  He is a member of the National Commissioner Support Staff and serves as the Training Chairman where he is responsible for all Commissioner Training.  He also a member of the Scouting U Board of Regents and National Training Committee.

Early registration is from January 3 to April 3.   Late registration ends on April 20th.  Registrations will be accepted at the door.  Although we did not raise the late registration
fee, late registrations will NOT include food.  This is due to catering deadlines.  We will have a list of area restaurant options for those who wish to venture out for lunch.
