WHERE? U.S. Coast Guard Station Annapolis, 3425 Thomas Point Rd, Annapolis, MD 21403
WHO? Open to all Sea Scouts, Maritime Explorers, Venturers, and Scouts BSA who are at least 14 years old. It is sponsored by Baltimore Area Council Sea Scouts, the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, and Friends of Sea Scouts of Maryland.
WHY? This fun, action-packed event gives participants hands-on opportunities to experience Coast Guard rescue techniques and equipment. Some of the activities will include navigation unplugged, radio communications, man overboard recovery, operational USCG vessel tour, first aid underway and CPR, marlinspike, paddlecraft safety, and learning about USCG careers. The venue changed to CG Station Annapolis because Curtis Bay will be under construction in Sept.
HOW? Register now. Fee $25, which includes all activities and an updated patch. Boarding manual will be posted soon.
