Aquatics Rank Advancement Day

Who:  Registered BSA Scouts

This event is designed to give Scouts the opportunity to complete swim test and rescue requirements for these Second Class and First Class ranks:

• 2nd Class Requirement 5a (safe swim precautions)
• 2nd Class Requirement 5b (BSA Beginner Swim Test)
• 2nd Class Requirement 5c (reaching / lines rescue methods)
• 2nd Class Requirement 5d (swimming rescue methods)
• 1st Class Requirement 6a (BSA Swimmer Test)
• 1st Class Requirement 6e (line rescues)

If time permits, the following additional rank requirements may be included:

• 1st Class Requirement 6b (safe trip afloat)
• 1st Class Requirement 6c (parts of paddle watercraft)
• 1st Class Requirement 6d (proper body positioning in watercraft)

Scouts should prepare by reviewing and becoming familiar with these requirements prior to the event!  All participants should be present and ready to swim at the start of this event (1pm).
