Arborist Day 2025

The Maryland Arborist Association annually selects a site to conduct volunteer tree and landscaping services.  Broad Creek Memorial Scout Reservation was selected for 2025 as a site where nearly 75 landscape professionals along with their companies will donate resources to help with various projects such as removing hazardous trees, trimming of tree limbs, thinning canopies, etc.

We need 150 volunteers to help! 

Youth and adults are welcome, but youth must be at least 14-years old. Space is limited, so reserve your spot now!

Volunteers will help with various projects such as carting tree limps, cutting/stacking wood, chipping, etc.  Youth will not be operating any equipment such as log splitters or chippers.   Please bring gloves and protective eyewear.

All participants will receive a limited run patch and lunch will be provided.

7:30am Registration, assignments and Group Photo – Rosenberg Center

8:30am – 3:30pm – Service Projects

12:30pm – Lunch brought to the worksites
