What is ScoutCon?
It’s a weekend of being electronically unplugged enjoying fellowship with others playing board games, competing in tournaments, costume contest and other fun activities. Enjoy our library of over 100 different board games. Everyone is welcome to bring some of their own games to put into the library for everyone’s enjoyment.
ScoutCon is primarily indoor activities and will happen in rain, shine, or snow. Please bring your own tent and be prepared for cold weather camping!
ScoutCon! is open to registered Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts, Venturers, and Adult Leaders. Must be current on your registration and YPT to participate.
COSPLAY COSTUME CONTEST: No actual fire-arms allowed for this event. Weapons for cosplay must be clearly manufactured costume props and rated PG-13, represent a game/story lore.
TOURNAMENTS: Everyone must demonstrate excellent sportsmanship, befitting a Scout, and win or lose gracefully.
GAMES, GAMES, GAMES: From popular roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons ™, Dungeon Crawl Classics ™ (“DCC”), Shadowrun ™, and Star Wars RPG ™ to boardgames such as Settlers of Catan ™, Ticket to Ride ™, RISK ™, and Monopoly ™ to Magic the Gathering ™, UNO ™, and simple card games…ScoutCon! is where the fun happens, year after year!
Fees:
- Early-bird Registration $37.50 before October 18th
- Regular Registration $47.50 between October 18th and October 28th
- Late Registration 57.50 between October 28th and November 3rd (the Monday prior to the event)
- Minions Registration $27.50 (Requires 4 hours of volunteering via SignUp Genius, capped at 25)
• All event fees are due by November 3rd, no exceptions. No registrations after November 3rd or day of registrations will be accepted.
Minions: The opportunity to sign up for your preferred volunteer shift will be available closer to event time. Please keep an eye out for the sign up genius link attached to this event around August/September.
Dietary & Special Needs: Please complete the Dietary Needs Request Form and submit to Alex Schmitt no later than noon, Tuesday, November 4th.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW: Every unit and individual registrant must bring their own water for in their campsites. For 2023, Chautauqua County was in a Stage 3 Emergency water supply with limited water usage by all. We should plan for this contingency again in 2025, unless otherwise notified.
