Firday thru Sunday, April 25th-27th, 2025

What is it? Activities? Camporee allows scouts to participate in one of the oldest traditions in the history of Scouting, an opportunity to match skills against other patrols and troops. There is fun, friendship, competitions and of course the annual Dutch Oven Cook-Off for both youth and adults. The theme this year is Pirates. Be prepared to test your pirating skills. Scouts will test their skills of navigating, building towers, starting fire with a bow drill, teambuilding and scaring a dragon. We will also have a flag retiring ceramony. Bring your old flags. Check with your local VFW or organizaton. The dutchoven cook off is going to be a Iron Chef-style cooking! Buccaneers will have the opportunity to build a wooden chest, create an eye patch and other Buccaneering things. teams of three scouts from each troop are given ingredients and timed with the goal of creating the best dish possible using standard cooking staples plus the “secret ingredient,”
Supervision? All units must have two-deep leadership in accordance with Youth Protection Guidelines, and all registered leaders must have completed NEW Youth Protection Training.
