2021 SW WEIRD SCIENCE

Day Camp

July 31 & August 1, 2021

Two days where cubs explore and have fun with science-themed activities.  

Packing list: small backpack for your stuff, sack lunch for every day, sunscreen, Scout-related shirt (if you have one), sturdy shoes (no flip flops or sandals), a hat, bug repellant, water bottle, and Scout book. Wolves need to bring a compass for land navigation.

We hope to complete the following electives/requirements. TIGERS (shooting sports, rockets, tigers in the wild), WOLVES (germs alive, finding your way, shooting sports, and digging in the past), BEARS (bear forensics, rockets, bear goes fishing, shooting sports), and WEBELOS (rockets, nova, cast away, shooting sports).

 

July 31 to August 1 from 9am to 5pm each day ♦ North Side of Winfield Lake, at the Scouting Area. Check-in at 8:00am on July 31.

Must have registered leader with two-deep leadership and current YPT.

 

EARLY BIRD--$25 per Scout, $10 per adult (until June 22nd)

LATE FEES--$30 per Scout, $12 per adult (June 23rd-June 30th)

FOOD--no meals will be provided. Please bring meals for all participating Pack youth.

 

Refunds are not available, but fees may be transferred to another Scout or Adult under same registration number.

Payments must be made online and can be by check or card. Pre-registration is important so that we can properly supply and prepare the event and its activities.

 

BSA Health Forms Part A & B required upon arrival (submit copies).

COVID-19 - Currently, Cowley County guidelines do not mandate outdoor mask wearing, and the event will follow the guidelines. However, the county advice may change, and we encourage masks when in close proximity to other groups. Please bring a mask.    COVID-19 Parent and Participant Waiver Form must be completed by all.

Liability, Sickness & Accident Insurance are provided for all registered BSA members of the Quivira Council.
