Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation Specifics Training

October 10-11, 2020

at the Quivira Council Service Center

 

This one and one-half day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for those leaders (Cubmasters, Asst. Cubmasters, Den leaders, other pack leaders, and parents) who are interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities. BALOO is an instructor-led course which is conducted at the Council level. BSA's Cub Scout level camping policies will be taught along with the necessary tools to help units carry out a successful camping experience.

Completion of this course is mandatory for at least one adult on a Pack overnighter.

The day will begin at 7:30am Check-In Saturday morning. Class begins promptly at 8:30am. Plan to conclude by 11:00am Sunday morning.

 

Early Bird Registration (through September 25th) is $25 per participant.

LATE Registration increases to $30 per participant on September 26th.

Deadline to reserve a seat for the class will be 5:00 PM Friday, Oct 2, 2020.

ALL Meals will be provided.

 

Refunds are not available, but may be transferred to another leader under the same registration

Registration is online only. The registration link may be found on the http://www.quivira.org/training webpage, under Cub Scout Training.  Online payment is required and can be made by credit card or electronic check.

Scout Field Uniform, clothing commensurate to weather, rain gear, tent, sleeping pad or cot, flashlight, personal items kit, pocketknife, personal First Aid kit, chair, mess kit, a cup, a can-do attitude, and smile.

Liability, as well as Sickness and Accident Insurance are provided for all registered BSA members of Quivira Council.

All participants must sign Quivira Council’s PARENTAL/GUARDIAN, SCOUT, & LEADER COVID-19 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & CONSENT WAIVER FORM at check-in on Saturday, Oct. 10.    (Form is to the right of this page)
