BEAVER DAYS @ QSR

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Meet at warehouse for assignments. Open to adult volunteers, scouts and venturers, young children and cub age scouts discouraged. We will follow group sizes under 10 or whatever is required at the time. Groups will be separated geographically. Everyone needs to bring their own sack lunch, and water bottles or canteen, as not all water will be on at first weekend. Camping is available, using leave no trace, and groups would camp in geographically separate areas. Facility and building use is still restricted.
Most hand tools needed are on hand, but participants should bring gloves and appropriate work clothes.
Beaver day 1 on May 16: Most work being brush and trail clearing, campsite clearing, continued flood remediation.
Beaver day 2 on May 23: Continue trail and campsite prep, replumb campsite showers, repairs to picnic tables, painting projects, building and facility maintenance, program gateway construction.
Beaver day 3 on May 30: Continue trail and campsite prep, finalize building readiness, prep and clean buildings and facilities, prep and ready staff housing and facilities, prep program areas
There is need of chainsaw certified help. Only individuals currently certified in BSA chainsaw operations or professional foresters or arborist are able to operate chainsaws, must wear appropriate PPE.
Ranger Paul always has carpentry, plumbing, welding, small engine maintenance, vehicle and tractor maintenance and electrical projects for those with those qualifications (ie: they do that for a living). Please contact Ranger Paul prior to the date you can attend so he can discuss tool and supply needs as he has limited tools and supplies for those projects.
