A Winter Camporee hosted by Pawnee District

Open to Scout Troops and Webelo Dens (Limit 250 Youth), Camp Alaska is a Winter Camporee and Scout skills competition consisting of stations named after Alaskan cities each with its own contest. Some of the skills that will be tested throughout the day are: Team Work, Communication, First Aid, Fire Building, Orienteering, Pioneering and Survival. At Camp Alaska we abandon modern technology in favor of skill and ingenuity. To survive this arduous journey, you will need to be on top of your game. The trail is a brutal one, you will need your entire team to quickly assess the challenges along the way, devise a plan, and execute it to survive!   Activities will utilize standard Scout outdoor skills (as required for Tenderfoot, Second and First Class rank advancements), plus other fun activities.   Units will provide their own food & cook by patrol method. Event scoring will be by Patrol.   Friday Evening: Cracker Barrel  /  Saturday: Patrol Competitions  /  Saturday Evening: Dessert cooking contest and campfire.

February 21-23, 2020. Check-in begins at 6:00 pm Friday night. Saturday activities begin at 9:00 am. Check-out by 11:00 am Sunday. 

Fee is $12 per scout & $12 per adult through Feb 7. Late fee is $17 per scout & $17 per adult through Feb 14. Registration fee includes Friday cracker-barrel and patch. Limit of 250 Youth.    LAST DAY TO REGISTER: FRIDAY, FEB. 14

All units must have two-deep leadership in accordance with Youth Protection guidelines and the Guide to Safe Scouting.  Partner up with another unit if you are short leaders.

Refunds are not available, but fees are transferable to another Scout or Adult.
