Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation Specifics Training

October 16^th - 17^th, 2026

What/Who? This one and one-half day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for those leaders (Cubmasters, Ass’t. Cubmasters, Den leaders, other pack leaders, and parents) who are interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities. BALOO is an instructor-led course that is conducted at the Council level. BSA's Cub Scout level camping policies will be taught along with the necessary tools to help units carry out a successful camping experience.

Why? Completion of this course is mandatory for at least one adult on a Pack overnighter!

When/Where? Friday - Saturday, October 16^th-17^th, 2026. 11639 Garnett Rd., Wright, KS.  The weekend will begin with a 5:00 pm Check-In. The class begins promptly at 7:00 pm. We plan to conclude by 5:30 PM Saturday.

Cost? $35 per person. Refunds are not available but may be transferred to another leader.

Saturday meals will be provided!

Registration? The deadline to reserve a seat for the class will be 5:00 PM Fri, October 9th, 2026.

Registration is online only.

What to Bring?  Scout Field Uniform, clothing commensurate to weather, rain gear, tent, sleeping pad or cot, flashlight, personal items kit, pocket knife, personal First Aid kit, chair, mess kit, a cup, a can-do attitude, and a smile!

Insurance? Liability, as well as Sickness and Accident Insurance, are provided for all registered BSA members of Quivira Council.
