Camp C.S. Klaus Summer Camp 2027!

Camp C.S. Klaus is situated in a 200 acre wooded valley near Colesburg, Iowa. The camp features a beautiful 14 acre lake and scenic waterfall area. With eight camp sites, platform tents, private showers, forty-foot climbing tower, COPE course, and the beautiful Munter Lodge Dining Center, Camp Klaus provides a comfortable, yet adventurous camping experience for all!

There are many, many details on everything Camp C.S. Klaus that leaders, Scouts, and families should know. From merit badges offered, to check-out procedures, to visitors night, all of these things and more can be found in our 2026 Leader Guide, which will be uploaded as soon as possible.

A $340.00 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your Troop's space at Camp Klaus for 2027. This money will be applied to the fee for your first two adult leaders.

Camp Fees -

• Northeast Iowa Council Troops - $TBA per Scout paid by 5pm April 26, 2027
  •  $TBA per Scout after 5pm April 26, 2027
• Out of Council Troops - $TBA per Scout paid by 5pm April 26, 2027
  • $TBA per Scout after 5pm April 26, 2027
• BASE Camp Fee is $TBA
• Adult leaders are $170 per leader

Scout Camp Weeks

• Week 1:  June 13-19, 2027
• Week 2:  June 20-26, 2027
• Week 3:  July 11-17, 2027

• Trails End (56 cots), arrival time is 12:15pm 
• Commissioner (40 cots), arrival time is 12:45pm
• Twin Craters (42 cots), arrival time is 1:15pm
• Deer Run (36 cots), arrival time is 1:45pm
• Owl Hoot (30 cots), arrival time is 2:15pm
• Maple Grove (24 cots), arrival time is 2:45pm
• Bloody Ridge (30 cots), arrival time is 3:15pm
• Balanced Rock (24 cots), arrival time is 3:30pm
• Lake View (12 cots), arrival time is 3:45pm

Please note:  Every effort will be made to keep you in the campsite you've requested. However, they are on a first-come, first-served basis, and Camp Klaus reserves the right to change your campsite if needed to accommodate additional campers.
