Dear American Heritage Girls and Leaders,

              Welcome to our 9th summer of Camp Kateri @ CCLT after a one year sabbatical!  In 2012 we began our troop and launched an adventure that we are thankful for every day. Our camp has evolved every year based on input from our youth and parents and we are blessed to have it all take place on an amazing property.  As we return to Camp Kateri this year, the goal is to get our ladies together in His name, enjoy the great outdoors, refocus on their social skills, forge new lasting relationships with girls in our program from all over the country, and try things we wouldn't necessarily have access or opportunity to at home.  We hope a taste of all the things we try this summer will open a door that may some day show the path for the future life our ladies embark upon. 

We ask that every adult be an active teacher with our ladies and the staff and hope that you will have just as much fun as they do.  We are a no drama camp and ask that any suggestions or concerns only be shared with people who serve in a manner that will resolve any issues we may have. If you have never joined us before, you are in for a treat!  No one leaves a stranger, and if your parents have never camped before we are an excellent place to start.  We will do all the work, you just need to show up and have fun.  You will learn more about your daughter and her friends heart sitting around a campfire and listening to her speak with friends than most other activities.  The quiet and calm at CCLT will stay in your heart long after you leave. 

Our Patriot Quest will again bring life skills and fun, such as wood working, macramé knot skills project, welding, plumbing and more!  While the Patriot Quest has an additional fee of $20, the opportunities it brings will well serve the ladies.  Our schedule at this time is not completely set, but we know the things listed will happen.  So come to camp with an adventurous spirit and have a love of plan B when needed.  Some of our biggest mistakes end up being the greatest adventures.  If you don't believe me, ask me some time about canoeing in a ditch!  Any questions are welcome, but I ask that you read the packet front to back at least twice and take notes for your call.
