Welcome to Merit Badge University

 

When MBU began over 20 years ago - less than 100 Scouts attended. Today, over 1,500 Scouts from all over the United States attend this single-day event, making our MBU one of the largest in the Nation. Whether this is your first visit to MBU or you are a veteran, please read the instructions carefully as some of our registration procedures have changed.

Ready to get started? First, review the Class Schedule and read through the Event Class Catalog. These documents contain class times, descriptions, requirements and special instructions from our Instructors. Take some time and review the Frequently Asked Questions document too. It contains a ton of information for parents - whether you're an MBU veteran or a 1st timer. Next, click the Register button. Follow the instructions carefully, enter your classes and make your payment. That's it! 

Here's the fine print. Registration and payment are online ONLY.  Mail-in payments will not be accepted. Payments may not be made at the Scout Shops.Please follow all payment instructions carefully. Registration fees are NOT REFUNDABLE under any circumstances. There will be no on-site/day-of registrations. Payment must be received prior to the date of the event. A registration without payment does not constitute enrollment in a class. You will receive a registration confirmation email as well as a receipt-for-payment email. If you have questions pertaining to registration or payment, please review our Frequently Asked Questions document first, pose your question on our Facebook page or email us at 127three.firesmbu@scouting.org. Please allow 24 hours for one of our volunteers to respond. 

Important Notes:

We have 3 dates of MBU 21, and each date is its own day of MBU. The Merit Badges on each date are separate classes so a Scout does NOT need to register for all 3 dates in order to earn a single Badge. This gives each scout up to 3 days with 4 badge slots that can total up to 12 different badges if he or she wants to sign up for each day! 

Each date of MBU 21 will have several Merit Badges offered on that day. We offer as many badges as we are able to have Counselors for and you get the opportunity to have several MBU experiences this year!
