Klondike Derby 2026
When: January 31 (Camping available Friday January 30 and Saturday evening, January 31).
Where: Camp William B. Snyder, 6100 Antioch Rd, Haymarket, VA 20169
Who: All Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts, and Venturing BSA youth and leaders. Registration is prioritized for units within the Prince William and Burke Lake Distrcts. Maximum capacity may be limited to 350 total youth and adults.
Cost/Registration: Early bird registration is $26 Youth, $26 Adults, non-refundable, day only or full weekend. January 12 the fee increases to $30 youth and $30 adult. Registraion closes Sunday, Jan 25th. Please indicate if you are camping and what nights.
All payments must be made here online - cash and checks will not be collected at the event. All units should also notify the Klondike Planning team via Basecamp with approximate attendee counts. Click Here to access the Klondike Basecamp site and notify us under the Message Board.
It is recommended registration be made by the Adult Lead for each Troop/Crew/Ship.

Food: All meals are "on your own"
Program: This is a fantastic opportunity for Scouts meet for a day-long, patrol-level competition of scout skills, individual knowledge, teamwork, and ingenuity. The object is simple: patrols earn gold for Scout Skills, Scout Spirit, and Patrol Cooperation while having fun in the wintery cold. Patrols use a map and station list to determine which competitions they want to try. Each patrol plans its route, selects the stations it will attempt, and budgets it’s time to maximize its winnings.
Scoutmasters;
1. Attend the Scoutmaster/Senior Patrol Leader Coordination Leader's Zoom Meeting on Thursday Night, January 22, 2026 at 7:30 PM. At the meeting we will confirm unit attendance, campsite assignments and unit program events. Additionally, we will review the Schedule and discuss special events such as the Klondike Race and the Closing Campfire. Link will be sent to registered attendees prior to meeting.
2. The POC's for Registration are; PW District, Vince Bonifera (vbonifera@yahoo.com) or and BL District, Monica Lynch (melinva@gmail.com).
3. The POC's for Program Events are; PW District, Doug Henry (rdhenry101@aol.com) and BL District, Kate Mattice (katemattice@gmail.com).
4. Camping locations will be relayed to those advising they are camping prior to the Leader Coordination Meeting.
